Some people are bothered by irregular indentations and wrinkles in the chin area – the so-called cobblestone or strawberry chin. The cause is usually overactivity of the chin muscle (musculus mentalis).
The Treatment
Targeted injections of botulinum toxin gently reduce muscle activity. This relaxes the chin area, the skin appears smoother and wrinkles become significantly less visible. Additionally, the treatment can optically counteract a backward displacement of the chin.
